Dominium announces grand opening for Lancaster Ridge

Minneapolis March 15, 2011 — Dominium is pleased to announce the grand opening of Lancaster Ridge, formerly known as Hickory Knoll, in Canton, Ga. The property, Dominium’s third in Georgia, was acquired in December 2010.

Upon takeover of Lancaster Ridge, Dominium launched a renovation project to upgrade the interior, exterior and landscaping of the property, which was built in 1995. Renovations made to each of the 145 housing units totaled approximately $6,500 per unit.

Exterior improvements included landscaping and asphalt work to improve the visual aesthetics of the property. Additionally, the exterior doors, light fixtures, breezeways, buildings, and steel stairs were either replaced, painted or repaired. A new playground was installed in a safer location for the children and the pool was resurfaced to give it a sparkling new feel.

Improvements to individual units included cabinet refinishing, new light fixtures, new hardware and flooring. In addition, new washers and dryers were installed in each apartment.

This is Dominium’s first market rate acquisition in Georgia, as it looks to capitalize on the strong economy in the Atlanta area.
