Dominium Awarded Two NAHMA Vanguard Awards
The awards recognize excellence in newly developed or significantly rehabbed affordable multifamily housing communities
Dominium, a Minneapolis-based leading apartment owner, developer and manager, was recently awarded two National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) Vanguard awards, recognizing Union Flats and Millworks Lofts.
Union Flats, a St. Paul, Minn. community, received the Vanguard Award for New Construction over 100 units by providing the city of St. Paul with 217 units of innovative, exceptional affordable housing.
Millworks Lofts in Minneapolis, Minn. received the Vanguard Award for Major Rehabilitation of a Historic Structure into Affordable Housing by creating beautiful, functional and affordable housing while maintaining the historical integrity of a once prominent manufacturing building. The community also features a geothermal heating system which lowers the carbon footprints and energy bills of residents.
“These exemplary properties are a true testament to the positive impact affordable housing can have on communities,” said Mark Moorhouse, Managing Partner and Senior Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at Dominium. “I’m proud that our developers’ work on Union Flats and Millworks Lofts is being recognized. Congratulations to Owen Metz and Nick Andersen and their teams.”
