Dominium’s second South Carolina development will provide high-quality apartment homes for families in Greenville County

Dominium, a leading national affordable housing owner, developer and manager, announced that it has acquired land at 6615 Augusta Road in Greenville, South Carolina for the development of Avery Landing. This new community will deliver 153 affordable apartment homes to support the hardworking individuals and families in Greenville County.

Once completed, Avery Landing will feature 18 one-bedroom, 72 three-bedroom and 63 four-bedroom homes, all income- and rent- restricted to at or below 60% of the Greenville Area Median Income (AMI). The community will be constructed by WD Construction, and will include high-quality amenities such as a clubhouse, fitness center, playground and more.

Construction of Avery Landing will be supported by the Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program (LIHTC). Nationwide, LIHTC is the largest source of support for the construction and maintenance of affordable housing communities. In exchange for tax credits, affordable housing developers and operators agree to maintain rents at levels tied to the Area Median Income (AMI). Construction of LIHTC properties has a positive effect on the local housing market by increasing the supply of affordable housing.

Dominium would like to thank its development partners, including Winthrop & Weinstine, Parker Poe, Boarman Kroos Vogel Group Inc., Kimley-Horn Inc., Commercial Partners Title, Fred Allen and Associates, Colliers Securities, Midlands Community Development Corporation and U.S. Bank Trust Company.
