Dominium Acquires Lake Weston Point Apartments

Dominium, announced today that it has acquired Lake Weston Point Apartments, a 240-unit affordable housing community in Orlando, Fla. The property is located in close proximity to Nassau Bay Apartments, another affordable housing property owned by Dominium.

Dominium is planning a renovation of the property which will begin in early 2018. Unit improvements include upgrades to the kitchen cabinets, countertops, flooring, plumbing fixtures and light fixtures and new Energy Star appliances.

The exterior will undergo significant renovations to ensure a rejuvenated appearance. Dominium is planning updates to the clubhouse, fitness room, swimming pool, playground equipment and sports court.  Additional improvements will be made on an as-needed basis to the security cameras, exterior lighting, landscaping, site drainage, sidewalks, parking lot, roofing, condensers, air handlers, fishing pier and installing gutters and downspouts.

“Lake Weston Point is a very attractive asset, close to one of our other properties,” said Dominium development associate, Ben Taylor. “The acquisition and upcoming renovation allows us to provide another affordable housing option and expand our portfolio in this growing area.”

Lake Weston Point was built in 1999. Dominium acquired the property in July of this year.
