Dominium Launches Opportunity’s Front Door Scholarship Program

Dominium commits $500,000 to resident and employee scholarship program.

Dominium, a leading Minneapolis-based affordable housing owner, developer, and manager announced today that it is launching its new scholarship program, Opportunity’s Front Door. The program is designed to help residents and employees afford higher learning and achieve their full potential.

Recognizing that while talent is widespread, opportunity is not, Dominium launched new scholarship program Opportunity’s Front Door with the goal of closing the gap for its residents and employees. The program—which aligns with the company’s corporate giving initiative, Dominium Gives—will be available for application by Dominium residents and employees, or their dependents, who wish to enroll in a post-secondary college, university, or certification program.

“By supplying quality and affordable housing, we know we are helping families meet their basic needs every day,” said Paul Sween, managing partner of Dominium. “We envision Opportunity’s Front Door as a next step to assist our residents and employees as they work their dreams of pursuing a higher education.”

Opportunity’s Front Door will be administered through Scholarship America;  applications are open from May 26^th through July 1^st for the 2020-2021 academic year. Dominium will contribute a total of $500,000 to the program, at $5,000 per scholarship. The scholarships will be awarded in August.
