Dominium Announces New High School Resident Internship Program
The affordable housing owner launches a new career training opportunity for its young residents
Dominium, a leading Minneapolis-based affordable housing owner, developer and manager announced today that with the belief that talent is widespread, but opportunity is not, it is launching a new High School Resident Internship Program for its younger community members at several of its Texas and Florida communities.
Developing people is one of Dominium’s core values and providing young affordable housing residents with paid career training is a way of living out that value. Providing safe, high-quality affordable housing helps residents meet basic needs, while this internship program can set high-school-age residents up for a successful future.
“We are very excited to be kicking off such an important career training opportunity for our high-school-age residents. At Dominium, we place a high value on creating new ways for our residents to pursue their dreams, which made our decision to launch this new program an easy one,” says Dominium Partner and Senior Vice President of Property Management Jack Sipes.
Office and maintenance internships at select properties will launch October 2020. Participants can expect to work two to four days per week for a total of approximately 12 hours.
