Dominium Will Distribute More Than $1.4 million in Scholarship Awards in 2022

287 students will receive scholarships of $5000 to go toward furthering their education.

Dominium, a leading affordable housing owner, developer and manager announced today it will distribute over $1.4 million in scholarship awards to its residents, employees and their dependents through Opportunity’s Front Door, the Dominium scholarship program.

In total, 287 students will receive scholarships of $5000 to put toward their educations in the 2022-2023 school year.

“It has been so exciting to see this program grow,” Senior Managing Partner Paul Sween said. “Our residents and employees are doing incredible things and we can’t wait to see what they will contribute to our communities in the future.”

Opportunity’s Front Door was created in 2020 to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. After a successful first year in which Dominium distributed $500,000 in scholarship funds, the affordable housing provider doubled its scholarship output to $1 million in 2021.

“The feedback and engagement we’ve received from residents and employees has been tremendous,” said Managing Partner and EVP of Development Mark Moorhouse. “There was and continues to be a real demand for this type of program and I am very proud of the work the Dominium Foundation is doing to help our communities.”

Opportunity’s Front Door is aligned with Dominium’s larger corporate giving initiative, Dominium Gives. The program is administered in partnership with Scholarship America, who review applications and select the recipients.
