capability from the ground up.
Dominium, a leading national affordable housing owner, developer and manager, announced today that R. Scott Ewing will be joining Dominium’s Executive Committee with a promotion to Partner, Chief Construction and Architecture Officer & Executive Vice President.
“Scott and his team improve the efficacy of the entire development process,” said Managing Partner & Executive Vice President of Development Mark Moorhouse. “His expertise and experience will be a welcome addition to the Executive Committee.”
Since joining Dominium in 2012, Ewing has built the company’s Construction and Architecture Services capability from the ground up. Today, Dominium Construction and Architecture Services is managing $1B in active construction value as well as providing architectural services for its redevelopment projects and prototypes of new construction units. He has been instrumental in Dominium’s shift toward more new construction developments and standard unit designs, both of which have been significant drivers of Dominium’s growth. The affordable housing provider now owns and manages more than 37,000 apartment homes across the United States.
“Creating and implementing the standard unit designs is one of the most important changes we’ve made as a company and Scott’s role in that process was crucial,” said Dominium Senior Managing Partner Paul Sween. “As Partner, he’ll continue to fuel Dominium’s growth, and as an Executive Committee member, he’ll continue to lend his valuable insight to the work we do.”
Ewing has more than 30 years of industry experience. Before Dominium, Ewing held roles at Weis Builders and Mohan Construction, Inc. He has a BS in Construction Science and Management from Kansas State University. Prior to his promotion, Ewing served as Vice President of Construction and Architecture Services.
