Dominium Hires Kyle Hansen as Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President
Former U.S. Bank Senior Executive and Industry Veteran brings Decades of Commercial Real Estate and Capital Markets Experience to the Affordable Housing Leader
Dominium, a leading national affordable housing owner, developer, and manager announced today that it has hired Kyle Hansen to serve as its first-ever Partner, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President, effective May 9, 2022.
“Kyle is a long-time business partner and friend of Dominium,” said Senior Managing Partner Paul Sween. “He knows our organization well and will play an invaluable role in moving Dominium forward.”
Joining the Dominium Executive Committee in this newly created role, Hansen will initially focus on the largest divisions of the company, property and asset management, and will add additional functions over time.

Hansen joins Dominium after an accomplished career in the banking industry, most notably devoting nearly 30 years to helping grow and shape U.S. Bank. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Community Finance Solutions, a division of U.S. Bank’s Community Development Corporation responsible for New Market and Historic tax credit equity investments and lending to Community Development Financial Institutions across the country. Prior to that, Hansen led U.S. Bank’s Affordable Housing Debt group for more than nine years. In his previous 17 years with the bank, Hansen grew through roles of increasing responsibility in Commercial Real Estate including Construction Lending, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities and Structured Finance.
After beginning his career as a Certified Public Accountant at Ernst & Young, Hansen spent three years as a loan officer at First Bank Minneapolis, followed by four years in real estate development at Opus Properties and Condor Corporation. Hansen earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. He currently serves on the board of Ehlers Public Finance and has held past board positions with CommonBond Communities, St. Paul Riverfront Corporation, the United Way Housing Board and the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks.
