Minnesota Firm Buys Victory Crossing Apartments, Plans Renovation
Dominium, a Minneapolis-based leading apartment development and management company, announced today that it has acquired Victory Crossing, an affordable housing community consisting of 172 units, in Columbus, Ga.
“This acquisition is a nice addition to our growing Georgia portfolio,” said Devon Quist, Dominium development associate. “The improvements planned for this property will provide a much-needed affordable housing option in the Columbus-area for years to come.”
Dominium is planning a substantial renovation of the property. Common area upgrades include a new fitness center, upgrades to the clubhouse including new fixtures, equipment, furniture, artwork and accessories. The pool will also receive much-needed updates and repairs to restore it for resident use. New security equipment and cameras will be installed in the clubhouse and pool areas.
Dominium will be doing light unit upgrades including the addition of new in-unit washers and dryers. In addition, some units will receive new paint, flooring, appliances and fixtures on an as-needed basis.
Exterior improvements include new lighting and new and upgraded landscaping.
Victory Crossing was built in 2004. Dominium plans to complete renovations by the end of April 2017.
